Just a quick note to let you know that we will have the, almost traditional, Trial Trail Run on Saturday, December 15th.  This practice run is open to all, registered or not. We usually jog about 10 miles but it's easy to bail out for shorter distances, or add more.  We’ll meet at 11am at the CRP’s CAMPGROUND parking lot.  This is a chance to see the trails, new start and finish and sample the challenging new Expert section. Let me know if you're coming so we know to look for you.

I left NJ and 6 inches of snow last week to visit warm and sunny Alva and checked out the trails.  They are in the best shape that I’ve ever seen them; even the hog ruts were minimal.  If you have the opportunity you should log some miles on them; they’re good for the soul and for the legs.  As in any trail run use caution, especially if running the new expert section.

The Courses and more information are posted on the web site: RRRTrail.com

Pasta Dinner: We’ll have a Pasta Dinner for runners, their family members, park staff and race volunteers Saturday evening (January 5th) at BIANCA'S RISTORANTE ITALIANO. They have offered to prepare special, whole wheat, organic versions of some of their award winning pastas exclusively for our event. The cost per meal will depend on how many sign up. You can visit their menu and see that even without a discount their prices are very reasonable (and portions are large.)

Please email me if you'd like to attend with how many will be in your party so we know how many tables to set.  We'll have more details posted, like time and costs, when we get closer to race day.

Registration:  Registrations are coming in well ahead of past years.  To date we have over 120 runners signed up from 14 states and 4 other countries.  To preserve the quality of the event the Half and Relay is limited to 250.  You can monitor the total number and where they are from with the link on the Registration page.

Check out RRRTrail.com for lots more information.

Happy Trails!
