The first meeting of prospective volunteer Rangers for the Calusa Waterkeeper met in Fort Myers on November 19.

The purpose of the Ranger program is to develop a network of volunteer water monitors to assist the Calusa Waterkeeper throughout the program area.

At least one Ranger will be assigned to each of the seven regions of the programs waterways.

Rangers will be trained to take water samples and how to effectively map and report potential water quality and wildlife violations.

If you are interested in becoming a Calusa Waterkeeper Ranger please send an email to Waterkeeper@Caloosahatchee.org for more information on how to get involved.
