Ceitus Boat Lift Issue

Lee County BOCC will soon consider the Ceitus Boat Lift issue. Natural Resources Director Rolland Ottolini is recommending acceptance of the NEB (net ecosystem benefits) measures from Cape Coral and DEP. Lee County Natural Resources will be presenting the latest draft report to the Board of County Commissioners on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 1:30pm at the Commission Chambers, 2120 Main St, Ft Myers. This is being held during their monthly Management and Planning meeting. This is a workshop format with no public input, although they have had public officials comment in the past. It is my intent to gain the collective position of our Board towards the set of NEBs proposed. The next day, Tuesday, February 2, at their regularly scheduled Board meeting at 9:30 am, an action item will be presented to formalize their position. At this time, public input is welcome. Attached, is the powerpoint I plan to present on Monday, basically excerpts from the report itself. Let me know if you see any glaring errors or any major changes since the last report.
