CRCA vs The Vue Hearing

Riverwatch and others won a court challenge to halt The Vue, a 27-story residential tower partially on Centennial Park land illegally transferred to the developer.  The City of Ft. Myers, vulnerable to developer claims, has appealed the decision and a hearing is scheduled for May 7th at 9:00 AM in Lakeland, FL.

Notice:

The Second District Court of Appeals has scheduled the oral argument for The Vue case on April 9, 2008.  Oral argument is a short presentation from each attorney to a panel of three judges.  This gives the court an opportunity to understand the case better and to ask questions.  Clients do not speak and do not need to be there, but people may attend.  The court will not make a ruling at the oral argument.  The court will issue a written ruling at a later date.  The court can cancel oral argument if it feels it is not needed to make a ruling.  Oral argument will be held in Lakeland at 9:30AM.
